Posted on August 2, 2021 at 10:10 AM Comments comments (55)
We are looking forward to the Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Convention which will be from Thursday August 19-Saturday August 21. Unfortunately the MANC was cancelled last year because of the pandemic. We missed seeing so many of our friends and customers. We will be at the show this year with many DVD's, Classic TV, Vintage Cartoons, Cliffhanger serials, as well as comics (both paper as well as DVD's). I hope that all is well and that we will see everyone at this show of shows in two weeks. Take care all.

Our next show at the Wayne PAL will be on Saturday March 6th. We will have plenty of interesting DVD's including classic films, TV shows, vintage cartoons, and comics on DVD. We have also been selling comic books including Marvel, DC and independent titles. Some of the comics are hard to find. Please come and visit us at the next show. Take care to everyone and please stay safe.

The Return of PDUNNE

Hello everyone. It has been quite a while since I wrote on this blog. Sorry I have been away for so long. Here we are still in the middle of this horrible pandemic which has killed so many and took our everyday lives away from us. I have been doing my job virtually and I am very fortunate that I have worked and been paid during this crisis. Many people haven't. I have continued selling online and it appears that the items most in demand have been the comics on DVD. I have been doing the Wayne Toy Show at the PAL complex. It has been going on since last August and it appears everyone has been following the necessary protocols to keep people safe. I have also been attending comic shows run by Pug Productions. Thanks to JP for running these shows and giving us a chance to return to some normalcy. I hope that all of you have been doing well. I will try and write on this blog once a week. Take care to everyone.

Hello to everyone.  I hope that all is well with everyone.  We really enjoyed the Steel City Con.  The guests were amazing and the attendees were so amazing.  It is always fun to interact with the people at the Steel City Con.  Our upcoming shows include the Wayne Toy Show on September 2 and of course the Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Convention in Hunt Valley Maryland on Thursday September 13 to Saturday September 15.  I am looking forward to attending the MANC as we believe it is our best show of the year.  We will also be at the Pulp Adventurecon at Bordentown on Saturday November 3.   We hope to see many of you at our next show.  Take care.

We would like to thank all our Long Island customers who came to see us at the Long Island Toy Show at Hofstra University.  It was great to see all of you and we would like to thank you for your business.  On Sunday August 6th we will be, as usual, at the Wayne Toy and Collectibles Show at the Firehouse.  During the weekend of August 11-13 we will once again be at the Steel City Con.  It is an excellent show with plenty of great guests.  We will also be there of course with plenty of great horror and sci-fi films, vintage TV shows, classic cartoons, cliffhanger serials and comic books on DVD.  It is always a wonderful experience to visit with our customers and talk about our favorite subject - classic movies.  Also please don't forget the highlight of our year - the Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Convention in Hunts Point, Maryland September 14-16.  We look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming shows.  Take care.

It is 6:10 PM on Friday afternoon.  Once again having a wonderful time at the MANC.  The fans here are so great and knowlegable and a joy to talk to.  Martin Grams, once again, has done a fantastic job on this convention.  If you have not visited this convention you have to make it your business to come either tomorrow if you are in the area or next year - September 18-20, 2014.  I wish everyone a great day.  Take care.

Steel City Con

Well, just got back from the 3 day Steel City Con.  It is always nice to meet people who share a similar interest as myself. The customers that I met at the show were informed, clever and very nice. It seemed like of all the merchandise that was brought to the show - sci-fi films seemed to be the favorite among most of the crowd. Just wanted to make a couple of observations (1) sometimes "stars" can be a little rude.  For example Rowdy Roddy Piper made fans wait in line for almost two hours while he hung out in his hotel room.  Once he got to the show he seemed very accommodating and pleasant. But he could have started a bit earlier so that the fans who were paying him $25 a shot could get their autograph and enjoy the rest of the show. Also Tracy Gold of Growing Pains did not seem to be a nice person. She actually got into an altercation with one of the fans after Gold made a comment about the fan's occupation. She seemed very rude. Too bad all "stars" cannot be more considerate of their fans.
(2) As the Steel Con expands to another room it will be great to have places where fans can go to listen to the guests (panel discussions) and maybe have a movie room or something like that so fans can go for a while and relax. Well that is all I have for today. Hope to see everyone at the Wayne show on August 4th. All the best to everyone.
